Developer: Running With Scissors
Publisher: Whiptail InteractiveWeaponsTo assist you in surviving the week, you will come across several weapons. Not all of these weapons are in obvious areas, so it behooves you to go exploring a bit. Just be careful - if you get caught rummaging around someone's house, you might get caught, and then you'll have the cops on your ass.Shovel - you always have your trusty shovel, which you can either swing (primary fire) or repeatedly thrust (secondary fire). With just the right swing, you'll lop off your opponent's head slick and clean at the neck. You will come to rely on the shovel, especially when you're out of alternatives.Baton - I found this weapon to be relatively useless. Primary fire swings, secondary fire bashes things. I say, stick with the shovel.

Shocker - primary fire emits an electrical charge into your opponent. The longer you hold it down, the more devastating the effect. I liked the visual associated with the Shocker, but as a weapon, it left a lot to be desired.Scissors - this one's fun. You can throw the scissors with the primary fire, impaling your opponent. This generally requires two to three shots to get your kill. Secondary fire allows the scissors to ricochet off walls. You can also retrieve a scissors fired this way from a wall, if it gets stuck there. Very useful medium-range weapon.Molotov Cocktail - another fun one. Hey, you gotta love fire! Primary fire tosses it, where it will ignite upon impact. Hold the primary fire key longer to throw it farther. Secondary fire allows you to set it down with a time-delay ignition. I didn't really have a use for that in-game, but it works, and is another option you might want to use. Very handy weapon, deals death admirably. You'll love the burning death sequences...Grenade - BOOM! Yeah, you gotta love grenades. Postal 2 grenades are very nice. Same primary action as the Molotov Cocktail, replace 'fire' with 'effective explosion'. The secondary fire allows you to safely place the grenades on the ground, where you can either detonate them from a distance by shooting them with another weapon, or you can wait for someone to contact them, which will cause them to explode like a land mine. Grenades are quite useful clearing out a small pocket of nasties.

Pistol - moderate damage from primary fire, but you do have headshot potential. Quite useful.Shotgun - just the right amount of damage for a shotgun. Quite useful, nice balance between its power and the amount of time between shots. Moderate-range weapon.Machine Gun - it's always fun riddling your opponent with bullets. You can either tap the primary fire for a controlled burst, or hold it down to wreak holy hell like a Chicago gangster. You'll appreciate finding these within certain scenarios within the game.Hunting Rifle - now things get to be real fun. This sniper rifle can either be 'shot from the hip', with reduced accuracy, or you can alt-fire to bring up the scope, which can be zoomed using the mouse wheel. It's the perfect companion to a stroll down dangerous streets.Napalm Launcher - much more carnage than your run-of-the-mill Molotov Cocktail, if you have a people problem, break out this can 'o Whup-Ass! Primary fire sends forth a canister, leaking a trail of napalm behind it. The canister explodes on impact, also igniting the napalm trail. Secondary fire bounces the canister around, spewing napalm everywhere. When the canister stops bouncing, the firey fun begins.Rocket Launcher - I used this weapon quite often to clear out streets filled with hate group types. Hold down the fire button to fuel the rocket. If you fully fuel it with the fire button, you'll engage 'seeking mode', which will lock your rocket on to the target and blow his sorry ass to kingdom come. If your rocket is not fully fueled, it will fire, fall to the ground at some point and detonate, causing direct explosive and indirect shock damage. Alt-fire is the same as fire, but no seeking mode (kinda useless, if you ask me), and your rocket will travel a very long distance before it blows.

Gasoline / Matches - your unlimited supply of matches will come in handy when used in conjunction with readily-available supplies of gasoline. Thanks to the Unreal engine, the gasoline will drip over edges, form nice puddles, etc., which you can ignite with your matches. Gasoline evaporates rather quickly, and it has very limited range, so it's tough to use in a fire fight (no pun intended) situation. Remember - right clicking when you have gasoline will release a lighted match! You don't have to switch weapons.Cow Head - these rather rare items can be tossed with the fire button or laid down with the alt-fire button (hit Q to punt it for added fun). Shoot them with a projectile and enjoy the results - noxious gases envelop your opponent. I also enjoyed the flies that swarm around these rotten hunks of cow head.
