Unreal Turns 10!

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the release date of Unreal. Way back in 1998, Epic Games unleashed a game that brought vivid color and breathtaking vistas into the world of the first person shooter. It also turned the user-editing world on its ear with an incredibly easy to learn editor, and the level creating community for Unreal instantly flourished.

Many people are getting a chance to revisit the eerily tranquil world of Na Pali - or are visiting it for the first time, thanks to the release of Unreal Anthology and Steams's Unreal Deal. Sure today's shooters have passed it by in terms of shiny graphics, but Unreal will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Later this week, we're planning a look at the little-talked-about multiplayer aspect of Unreal. In the meantime, share your own experiences with the game. Happy Birthday, Unreal!
