VCTF-UCMP2-RiverCanyon2 - "Once a large cave carved out of the rock, this canyon holds the runs of a civilization, it's name lost in time. Eventually, the river flowing through the city flooded and the pressure razed the cave ceiling as well as the civilization itself. The canyon seems calm and peaceful at first glance, but the murderous river is willing to tell it's dark story, more than once again..."

Ah, VCTF, the unloved gametype that has only a handful of really good maps, each and every one from the talented Unreal Community. Is this one of them? I'd say so. The vehicles are few - two Scorpions and a Hellbender - but few doesn't necessarily mean bad. It's also relatively easy for foot soldiers - the few and proud who try not to get into vehicles - to actually step up and take them out, so they get a fair shake, because there's no Mantas, Goliaths, or any decidedly "Heavy" artillery, in both Weapons or Vehicles, and so you won't have to see another game ruined by Tank and Manta Whoring, scrambling for AVRiLs and Shock Rifles. There's a fair bit of twisting in the paths, meaning the pilot will need to make some good moves to get through cleanly, as well. There's three paths across the center gorge of eternal peril - two are nice and solid and hold 50 armors, but the middle one is broken - but it also holds a valuable rocket launcher and some ammo, perfect for planting a well placed shot to send that flag carrier to Davy Jones' Locker. The Decor is nice and not overused, and the atmosphere, flow, and aura of the map are well done. An excellent job here - the map is solid all throughout, and it should be a nice, neat little map, perfect for those 4v4 or 5v5 games.

Hal: Well, first off, I appreciate that the author didn't feel compelled to stuff two Leviathans and a gaggle of Mantas into the map. Props for that. Fact is, there just aren't a lot of VCTF maps out there and this seems like a good introductory map for those CTF fans who are just too shy to hop in a vehicle. The map looks pretty decent to boot.

Raffi B: There are only a handful of VCTF maps that play well while still being visually pleasing, and this one works perfectly. I think VCTF fans will thoroughly enjoy this map.
