The Community Bonus Pack (CBP) made by some of the finest in the Unreal Community was released last week, and with it came some extremely well put together maps for Epic’s Unreal Tournament 2003. Unreal Tournament 2003 lacked gameplay focused maps, it seemed Epic opted for a more theme orientated design approach rather than mixing the eyecandy and gameplay to create a balanced map. Don’t get me wrong, they managed to pull off a couple of shiners, DM-Antalus comes to mind, and DE also stepped in with their bonus pack and delivered the goods, but all in all I couldn’t help but feel a little let down.

The CBP delivers the best of both worlds; each map has its own solid identity, but also comes packed with solid gameplay to boot. The pack consists of a meaty eighteen maps; 1 BR, 4 CTF, 10 DM, and 3 DDOM, so I guess you could say there’s something for everyone.

To kick-start this rather colossal review, we’re going to hit the Capture The Flag maps first and over the next couple of days we’ll be adding by gametype. If you’re limited connection wise I’d also recommend you start downloading this baby now before you start reading (If you haven't already done so), as I can assure you it’ll be worth it in the long run.
