BU: I know you really enjoy Tactical Ops. Tell us a little about how TO brought you to accept the Unreal-engine world and, eventually, to BeyondUnreal. larrystorch: Tactical Ops and Weapons Factory UT really sucked me into the UT world. I've played Weapons Factory since it first came out for Quake 2, and you got me to try out WFUT when it became public. I also played Action Quake and the Delta Force series of games. so getting sucked into Tactical Ops was like getting a crackhead to try out coke. That was a no-brainer. Plus the fact that I could play UT in linux pushed me over to the Dark Side. When you asked me to help you with a crash course in Linux when setting up the BU server, I was like "LUNIX!! Give me r00t!!!!!" So here I am. BU: What do you think computer games are going to be like in 10 years? larrystorch: Well, the eye-candy factor is definitely going to increase, no doubt about that. I hope that game companies will not sacrifice replayability and storytelling in the process. Morrowind comes close to the perfect game IMO. It has stunning graphics AND a great story that unfolds as you play. The fact that it's an almost totally open-ended game (except for the main plot), it makes replay totally viable. I want a game to be able to scare the hell out of me with music, story and graphics when something jumps out of the shadows, like it has happened to me already in Morrowcrack....errr...Morrowind. BU: Thanks, larry. It's always great to have well-rounded people like you onboard at BeyondUnreal! larrystorch: Thanks for bringing me onboard. I've met alot of great people in the short time I've been here, and I hope it only gets better.
