Help BeyondUnreal

Like any other website, BeyondUnreal is always looking for help from the best and the brightest. It's a lot of work bringing the most and the best Unreal Engine coverage to the community and keeping the machine well-oiled and running. We currently have no staff openings, but we're always willing to talk to any qualified individual that is interested.

News Staff

Many thousands of people a day browse the BeyondUnreal front page and we need people who are willing and able to keep the page maintained. We use a custom Content Management System and knowledge of HTML is required. Since we deal with large images and files, a reasonably fast internet connection is desirable - but not a requirement. Duties would include checking your news inbox daily (or as often as possible), browsing the internet for Unreal Engine news, and posting the information in a clear and concise manner. You must be able to write clearly using good grammar, have decent spelling (or use spell check!), and have thorough research skills. We want to be first - but we need to be correct!

Article Contributor - Free Lance

While news is important, good proprietary articles help define a website. The topics can be pretty broad-ranging - from Tech to Unreal Engine Licensee games, but we like to concentrate on the Unreal series first and foremost. We'd like to have a steady stream of interesting, entertaining, informative, and/or thought-provoking articles published on a weekly basis. These things take time to get done right, so that's negotiable. Ideally, we will take on a small team geared towards writing articles. If you like to write, have a distinctive style, and have a decent command of grammar and English, then BeyondUnreal is the place to publish your Unreal Engine articles if you want to reach the broadest audience possible.

Technical Managers

There are a lot of cogs in the BeyondUnreal machine and we always need some assistance maintaining them. You should be well-versed in PHP, database management, and/or vBulletin forum software. Above all, security is our main concern. We run Linux/Apache servers and are very interested in not compromising them! Duties may include backups, upgrading, remote general maintenance, security advice, and site improvement/application creation.

BeyondUnreal is a completely community oriented website. All ad revenue (little that there is!) is used to run the site. Therefore, all positions are paid purely in self-satisfaction that you are part of a team dedicated to providing the very best for the community - at no charge!
